Need to verify a Chinese name and ID number, read an identity card or add face comparison to onboarding? QCC's China eKYC APIs are available for free trial, so your team can evaluate the verification experience before building an integration.
These Chinese ID verification services support holders of China Mainland Resident Identity Cards. Choose the service that fits the information you collect: structured identity details, an ID card upload or identity details plus a face photo.
QCC offers three China eKYC identity verification APIs: two-factor name and ID verification, two-factor verification with OCR, and three-factor verification with a face photo. Together, they give product and compliance teams options for building identity checks for holders of China Mainland Resident Identity Cards.
Try QCC's China eKYC APIs for free through QCC Developer Hub. Explore the service that fits your onboarding journey, review its inputs and test the verification response before committing to an integration.
Start with name and ID verification, choose OCR when your journey begins with an identity card upload, or add face comparison when your process requires it. Each API has a dedicated reference page to help your team get started.

In these product names, “factors” refers to the identity information checked. It does not mean login authentication using a password, OTP or authenticator app.
The CN eKYC IDV Two-Factors API verifies whether a person's Chinese name and China Mainland Resident Identity Card number match.
The required inputs are the full name in Simplified Chinese and the ID number. The synchronous response provides a match result, a result description and an order reference.
This option is suitable when your application already collects structured identity details. For example, an account-opening form may capture the person's name and ID number directly. Your workflow can submit those details for verification and route the result to the next onboarding step.
What it establishes: whether the submitted name and ID number are consistent. Checking those details does not establish that the person submitting them is the identity holder.
Try Name and ID Verification Free
The CN eKYC IDV Two-Factors with OCR API reads the portrait side of a China Mainland Resident Identity Card and verifies the recognized name and ID number. It can also return image risk information when available.
This supports a document-led onboarding journey: the applicant provides an ID card image, and the service combines recognition of the identity details with a name-and-number check.
Submit the portrait-side image URL. The national-emblem side is not accepted by this endpoint. The reference supports JPG, JPEG and PNG images up to 2 MB, with additional image-dimension requirements.
A clear image matters. Blur, obstruction, poor lighting and unusual angles can affect recognition. Build image guidance into the upload screen so applicants know how to provide a usable submission.
The response includes the identity match outcome and can include risk information relating to image tampering, screen recapture, screenshots and watermarks. These signals can help determine which submissions need review.
You can also request OCR output, including the recognized name and ID number, by setting the optional OCR-return flag. Without that flag, the OCR-result object is not returned.
Keep the outcomes separate: a matched name and ID number can coexist with a suspicious image result. Your approval process should consider both identity consistency and the available document-risk evidence.
Try ID Card OCR and Verification Free
The CN eKYC IDV Three-Factors API checks whether a person's Chinese name, Resident Identity Card number and submitted face photo match the same person.
The inputs are the name in Simplified Chinese, the ID number and a face image. The response includes a verification outcome, a description and a face comparison score for reference.
This option fits workflows that need a face-comparison step alongside the claimed identity details. For example, a business onboarding journey may need to verify the identity of a representative before separately checking their authority to act for the company.
The reference accepts a supported HTTPS image URL or a Base64 string. Use a recent, clear, front-facing photo with the full face visible and normal lighting. The file must be smaller than 1 MB and meet the documented format and resolution requirements.
The face score is a comparison output. A score should not be presented as an overall KYC approval or an accuracy guarantee. Use the documented verification outcome and your review policy when determining the next step.
Face comparison and liveness detection answer different questions. This endpoint's documented inputs include a face photo; a face match alone does not establish that the applicant completed a live capture or passed an anti-spoofing check.

Choose the service from the evidence you collect and the question you need to answer:
The services can support different stages of a larger process. Their inputs are distinct: the OCR service accepts an ID card portrait-side image, while the three-factor service requires a face photo alongside the name and ID number. Passing an ID card image to one endpoint is not equivalent to completing all three services.
Review the linked references and decide whether your workflow starts with structured identity details, an ID card image or identity details plus a face photo. This gives your product and technical teams a concrete test scope.

Use the online Try it experience to provide the required inputs and inspect the response before building your own test interface. Review the selected environment and any displayed usage information before submitting.
For an authorized test case, prepare the data required by the service: a name and ID number, a portrait-side ID card image, or a name, ID number and suitable face photo. Compare the response with your expected outcome and check how exceptions should be handled.
Agree on how the application handles a match, a mismatch, a suspicious image result and an unsuccessful request. For example, a poor-quality upload may need resubmission, while an unresolved identity discrepancy may need manual review.
For developers, successful request processing and a successful identity match are separate outcomes. Check the API status and the returned verification result before advancing the application.
The free trial helps you evaluate the service before integration. Check your account for trial availability, allowance and validity; continued usage follows your applicable plan.

In business onboarding, verifying an individual and verifying a company serve related but separate purposes. An individual may be the applicant, a representative or a beneficial owner. Identity verification helps assess who they are; additional evidence establishes their relationship to the business.
For a company from China Mainland, you can also explore the CN eKYB API for business license verification. Further checks may include ownership research and AML screening, depending on your requirements.
A useful workflow connects the verified individual, the verified company and the evidence of their relationship. Neither a name-and-ID match nor a face match establishes signatory authority by itself.
Two-factor verification checks the Chinese name and Resident Identity Card number. Three-factor verification adds a face photo to the identity comparison.
No. It recognizes the name and ID number from the card's portrait side and verifies them. Image risk information and optional OCR output are also available as documented.
The two-factor OCR endpoint accepts only the portrait side. Follow the reference image requirements when preparing a submission.
No. The documented service compares a face photo with the claimed identity. Assess any liveness or anti-spoofing requirements separately.

QCC's China eKYC APIs offer three starting points for identity verification: structured name-and-ID checks, ID card OCR with verification, and verification with a face photo. The free trial lets your team assess the inputs, examine the results and plan the review process before integrating.
Identity documents and face photos require appropriate handling. Use authorized data, transmit it securely and avoid storing full ID numbers or raw images in routine logs.
